News--New Account

Hey everyone,

I have created my video account. This is the account I will use to record and commentate on videos. It is TwoSpoons, so if you see me online, feel free to talk to me.

Also, people have been telling me that my attitude seems to make me look like I am angry and sad. That is untrue. I will try to seem more happy in my posts and online, so hoorah for that.

See you guys online!

Random--Updates

Hey,

I haven't been on PSN lately. That is because I have exams. I just found out I didn't do too well on my algebra exams (by my standards, which means 90 or above means satisfaction), so I need to study for this next test.

Also, no, I will not be getting Playstation Move. I don't like motion-control crap, except for the Wii, which is here now instead of in the near future.

I will be switching to and from MW2 and CoD4. MW2 is what's hip now, but CoD4 is more refined. For now, MW2. Another thing is the sniping. You can't really snipe in CoD4 because there is no SoH Pro, but there is Juggernaut. I am a beginner sniper working my way up.

That's all for now.

News--E3 Opinions

Hola,

I personally thought E3 was not very exciting overall. The motion-sensor fad has to die as soon as possible. Sony relied too much on Move, while Microsoft relied too much on Kinect. Fortunately, Nintendo stole the show, hands down.

Nintendo was the conference king. Donkey Kong, Kirby, Kid Icarus; and then, the 3.D.S. Oh my God, they have outdone everyone. What I'm really excited about are the new Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil, and Metal Gear Solid games. That will be the next game system I get.

Also, Sony unveiled a Sly Cooper collection. Digitally remastered in HD, all three games on one disc, for PS3. Sign me up for preorder.

I was disappointed in E3 2010, except for Nintendo and Sly. That is my verdict, judge me how you will.

News--SMG2 Let's Play

Hey,

I just got Super Mario Galaxy 2 today, and it is one of, if not, THE best platformer out on the market. Everything is great about that game. Even IGN, the Nazis of gaming (meaning they nitpick about any flaw), gave it a 10/10.

I was thinking about doing a Let's Play. For those of you who don't know, a Let's Play is when you play the campaign and commentate the whole way through. If I could find a damned capture card, then I will get underway ASAP.

P.S. Modnation Racers. That is all.

Review: Modern Warfare 2

Now that this game has been out for over half of a year, I will review it honestly. Just to clarify, I am not being paid by Activision or Infinity Ward to write a good review (honestly, it isn't that good).

Let's start with campaign. It is a mess, for the most part. The story is horribly done, the lip-synching is off, and the voices need work. For example, if you listen to any Army Ranger in the (spoilers from here on out) D.C. levels, they sound the same. Every one of them. No joke.

Again, the story is a convoluted mess. I couldn't figure out half of what the hell was going on. Hey look I'm in Afghanistan. Oh, now I'm on a mountain. Golly-gee, I've arrived in the U.S.S.R. Also, there are no true sniper-stealth missions, like "All Ghillied Up".

On the plus side, it is exciting the whole way through. The action literally never stops, and the great visuals add to the experience. There is also a mission, "No Russian" in which you pretty much shoot-up an airport in Russia. It could have added depth to the story if it wasn't bad, but it is a mind-numbing experience nonetheless.

Now on to Spec-Ops. This mode allows you to play different missions that get progressively harder. You can play co-op, but there is NO MATCHMAKING! If you're friends don't have Modern Warfare 2, then you can't get all 69 stars. Some missions are just parts of campaign thrown in. There are also two missions that require a partner, Overwatch (you pilot an AC-130 while your partner runs like hell to the objective) and Big Brother (you man a gatling gun in a helicopter and help your buddy through the "Wolverines!" mission). Again, with no matchmaking, this becomes a chore. A fun mode nonetheless.

Now to what you've all been waiting for: multiplayer. Let's start with the good; Free-for-All is fun (sometimes), and the graphics are superb.

Now, the bad. The assault rifles are completely overpowered. If you are using an SMG, then prepare to be destroyed. The shotguns got beefed up, but now they are secondaries. Wow. I don't even need to mention the Model 1887s, because they are the most overpowered shottie in any CoD.

Killstreaks are customizable, meaning that a good player who goes 20-2 with his weapon will be beaten by some kid who goes 40-6 using a Chopper Gunner. The regular 3-5-7 is gone; if you want a UAV, Airstrike, and Chopper, then it's 3-6-7 for you.

Perks are a mess. Most of them no longer have counters, like when Juggernaut countered Stopping Power. Now, perks like Cold-blooded and Ninja have nothing to make them neutered. The worst perk is probably Commando, which gives you roughly around five feet of melee distance. No counter, no reason not to use it. If you have an opponent with Tactical Knife and Commando, you are going to get fucking butt-hurt.

Deathstreaks reward you for dying, which is never a good idea. Painkiller, "achieved" at 4 deaths (3 with the Hardline Pro perk), triples your health, which results in constant enemy frustration. Copycat lets you copy your enemy's class, so people with a naked M4 and USP will immediately get a no-recoil ACR with Red Dot and Akimbo Rangers with Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power Pro, and Ninja Pro. Not right. Final Stand is a free dropshot, and Martyrdom, although thankfully not as common as in Call of Duty 4, is still a huge problem.

All of the maps are bad. As said by BlameTruth, "Even Call of Duty 4's worst maps are better than Modern Warfare 2's best maps". Only Favela is decent. Maps like Scrapyard and Highrise are suprisingly linear, and giant maps like Derail have matches that last forever. Estate is a giant camp-fest, and Terminal is a horrible map in general.

Infinity Ward made this game extremely noob-friendly, so even a first-timer like myself had no problem adjusting to this easymode game. Noobtubes are still present, and the new One-Man Army/Danger Close/Noobtube tactic is really fucking annoying. Nuke-boosters constantly ruin Free-for-All just to get the stupidest killstreak ever. Most guns have no idle sway, which makes weapons very easy to use, which promotes camping, which is really what this game is all about.

The connection is bad. You can have host, and shots will still go through people. Snipers have it worst, as even a four-bar connection is a bad connection. Dedicated servers weren't included, so some Joe Schmoe in a barn in Kentucky will get host instead of a guy with a good connection. If you lag while surrounded, you're screwed.

I could go on, but I only have so much time. Do not buy this game only for the multiplayer. Even for the whole game. Wait a few years before it goes down to $40 to get it. I give this game a 4/10.

The PS2 is still good!

Hey guys,

I have recently been playing my PS2. I don't know how I started up again, but I'm lovin' it. Both Kindom Hearts and KH2 are a blast, and Resident Evil 4 destroys every other PS2 game. I also have Action Replay ( I use it to make 6 Sephiroths in one room fighting Cloud, Tifa, Leon, Auron, Roxas, and I).

I really miss the glory days of the PS2. I remember the first game I ever played on the PS2: Jak and Daxter: The Precurser Legacy. It still is one of the best PS2 games out there, which is saying a lot for a launch title. Jak 2 surprised me, but I still liked it. I also have RE: Code Veronica X and NFS: Carbon.

I have a few horrible games, too. I had really bad taste back then (yes, because I had no friends). I (literally) have over 50 PS2 games, and most of them suck. Micro Machines, anyone? How about Alias? Or Spiderman: Friend or For? I think not.

The one series I absolutely love is the Sly Cooper series. I. Fucking. Love. Those. Games. Especially Sly 3, which had a crappy ending, IMO. It never gets old to just Falcon Pawnch people with Murray, or slip a bomb in someone's pants with Bentley (alá Fallout 3).

All I'm saying is that the PS2 is still good. If you have one, try a game or two and feel that nostalgia.

Alex

P.S. I'm gonna be using my name in my signature. More of a cozy feeling for you fans.

CoD4 vs. MW2

So,

There has been debate on which game is better. The answer is very simple: Call of Duty 4.

Call of Duty 4, in the words of SeaNanners, is more refined than Modern Warfare 2. Everyone is on even ground with the same killstreaks, the graphics are great at best, dated at worst, and Call of Duty 4 takes skill to be good at. On the downside, the hit detection is atrocious, and the M16 is waaaaay too overpowered.

That's my opinion. I'm just thinking logically.

Pretty Much a Big Update

Hey all,

I'm sorry about not posting for a while. One of my best friends who I've known since 7th grade recently...departed from my close group of friends (no, he's not dead). I just finally realized how much of a dick he was, and ended it. You see, he was really a good friend, but he was just an asshole personality wise.

I've been playing Assassin's Creed II. I already beat it, I'm just looking for all of those feathers. I hate how Ubisoft put in the stupid feathers. For those of you who don't know, there are 100 feathers scattered around the cities you visit. They are really fucking hard to find. The reward isn't even that great: the Auditore Cape (makes you Notorious all the time) and the super hammer (I use Altair's Sword and the Hidden Blades exclusively).

Also, I am not buying the MW2 DLC. Salvage was supposed to be "anti-camper", but that failed. I already played Crash and Overgrown; why should I pay for them. Storm and Bailout look okay, but $14.99 for three new maps and two old ones? Hell no, I'll pass.

Although I did buy the Assassin's Creed II DLC (both). I haven't gotten around to playing them yet, but I'm sure they're worth the seven dollars I spent.

I'm getting tired of Modern Warfare 2. It's just so frustrating. I need a healthy dose of Call of Duty 4 and World at War. Or maybe a bit of Half-Life 2? I dunno, whatever works for me.

That's all for now. Keep up with my Twitter (@Chillaxative7) for info on open lobbies and shit.

Chill

P.S. If you see me online and I don't talk to you, it's because my headset has a "Chat OFF" button. So, it will show next to my name that I have a mic on, but I can't hear nor speak. That will usually happen in FFA, so don't get offended if I don't answer you.

CoD News

So,

I have enough money to get Call of Duty 4 soon. A lot of people have been saying that MW2 is "noob friendly", which I totally agree with. I want the challenge that came with Call of Duty 4. Don't be surprised if you see me playing that soon.

Also, Call of Duty: Black Ops looks cool. The only thing about it that I don't like is that it's made by Treyarch. Don't get me wrong, I like World at War, but I just have a vibe that Treyarch should stick with WWII games.

That's all for now.

Random MW2 Stuff

So,

If you haven't been keeping up with my Twitter, here's the deal. I prestiged out of boredom. That's probably why Infinity Ward put it there in the first place. To be honest, I have been doing better on prestige, probably because I know all the tricks the 2nd time around.

I have been looking at capture cards, but I just don't have the damn money right now. I have a total of maybe $20 in my wallet right now. And no, I'm not poor, I'm 15. I will be getting a summer job in landscaping, so that's when I will probably get the capture card.

By the way, I have other PSN accounts if you want to know what they are. One is TrueLiar_211, in which I primarily snipe. The other is PuffFTW_21 (long story), in which I primarily rush.

Also, if any of you have been watching the Frag Cup on Machinima Respawn, root for E2K. They are my pick for the final battle, so make them happy by believing in them.

Chill

P.S. If any of you have not seen the pre-Frag Cup vids on Machinima by Sark and Hutch, do it. Watch the episode about sniping; it is fucking hilarious. "I've got a weapon that shoots herpes." and "Where you at now, hobo?" are my favorite parts. Go watch it.

Gameplay/ Commentary News

So,

I will be using a seperate PS3 account for gameplay vids. I will not accept friend requests, only send them out. I don't care about my Chillaxative7 account, send me a request.

Also, just to make this clear, I will NOT be prestiging. I think that there is no legitimate reason to do so. I don't really care about my callsign, so I don't want to go through all 70 levels again. That's what seperate PS3 accounts are for (sorry Xbox).

Anyway, that's what's going to happen. I will give out the name when I get my new PS3.

Tactics Guide News

So,

My Modern Warfare 2 Tactics guide was rejected on account of "overspecialization", which means that I put too much detail into a small subject. I'm not going to complain, neither am I going to acknowledge that the guide was fail. I worked hard on it, and if it doesn't appeal to GameFAQs' standards, then so be it.

I will be working on another guide, this time for a game other than MW2. Probably a full guide for an old PS2 game or an old PS3 game. Watch out for it.

MW2 Tactics Guide Finished and Submitted

So,

The guide has been finished and is pending review from GameFAQs as I type this. Since it's the weekend, however, it probably won't even be reviewed for content until Monday.

This guide is a hellova lot different than my older guides, with the biggest difference being the exclusion of most of the comedy. I know that my jokes are bullshit, but I'm trying to get better, if that makes sense. Another big difference is the Ctrl+F system. Instead of stupid little stuff like {hist!}, which was frustrating and hard to use, this one will be like {cod_#}, which is much easier to use for navigation.

What I'm still surprised by is that SuperCheats sent me a request for my first MW2 guide just a week ago. I declined. The only other place that I know of where my guide is is NeoSeeker, and I'm contemplating whether to take it down or not. Send me some feedback and tell me if you want me to banish the guide from the interwebs forever, or to keep it as a memorial for a tragic event.

Anyway, if you've hated my guides since MW2 or since the beginning, give my new one a shot. It could change your mind. I will keep you up to date on the guide's status as time goes on.

P.S. I just looked at the 9-page GameFAQs message board that bashes my old guide and laughed, which means that I have officialy accepted that it is crap. Hoorah.

Good Story

So,

My friend, Nick (gamertag: funkeyhotmonkey), was playing CoD while I watched for a bit. Since my PS3 is fried, he has gladly agreed to help me.

Anywhoozle, he was playing Domination on Scrapyard and he threw a Semtex at one of the flags. He got the whole enemy team and freaked out. He then said what will be my catchphrase, "Boom-fuck!".

Short, sweet, and to the point. I like it. Although I've chosen a catchphrase, I still need a greeting. This is the same contest, but with a different objective. Send me some greetings!

MW2 Guide News and Other Updates

So,

Feedback has been telling me that people want an actual guide, so I will try to get Microsoft Word ASAP. Because of this, there will be no more MW2 Gun Review posts.

Me and my friend, DarkNinjalordZ, have been talking about a Halo 3 machinima using his Xbox. Actually, we are talking about two of them. They probably won't be series' just one time skits.

One will be about Master Chief and Arbiter playing Halo 3 and noticing some huge differences. The other will be about Chief argueing with an ODST and a Reach Spartan, primarily about their gear (cough, God Magnum, cough). These will take some time, and the Chief+ODST+Reach won't be out until Halo: Reach is released.

I'm still thinking about doing the office series. I can't draw for shit, so I need another way to do it. It might take a while, but I will try my best to do it.

Anyway, the MW2 DLC will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points or $14.99 for PSN. But, of course, BC2 has to counter, putting their DLC on the same date for free.

To be honest, I might not get Bad Company 2 just because they hate MW2 that much. For God's sake, MW2 is a hell of a lot better than Bad Company 2. Some people get caught up in the hype and think it's a game made by Jesus, and then they realize, "Wow. This game is shit."

I gotta go, so see ya.

P.S. God of War 3 is amazing (that isn't hype. that's fact).

MW2 Gun Review: SCAR-H

The SCAR is one of the most commonly used weapons in MW2, and for good reason. It is powerful and accurate, and the reload speed is quick as well. The clip size is small, a mere 20 rounds, and the fire rate isn't very fast.

Camos look amazing on this gun, especially Digital and Blue Tiger. The sound of the gun firing is cool, and the iron sights are one of the least cluttered in the game. Unfortunately, the reload is wrong AGAIN. Hitting the gun doesn't put a new bullet in, Infinity Ward.

Overall, very good gun. People use it for a good reason.

Rating: 4.5/5

MW2 Gun Review: FAMAS

The FAMAS is a gun that fires in a three round burst. Besides what the stats say ( because they lie), the FAMAS and M16 have the same damage number. The FAMAS' reload speed is longer than most assault rifles, and the ironsights are cluttered.

Camos look good on this gun, especially Urban or Fall. The sound of the gun firing is good for the ear, and doesn't really distract you. For some reason, the Red Dot and Holographic sights look weird on this gun.

Overall, it's a good firearm. Although the M16 is better, the FAMAS is solid.

Rating: 3/5

MW2 Gun Review: M4A1 Carbine

The M4 is a fully-automatic assault rifle with low power. It is best used in close to medium range fights. The recoil is manageable, but no long range sniping here. The reload animation is quick, but why do you press the magazine eject button to put a new bullet in? That's fundamentally retarded, Infinity Ward. Even I knew that, and I'm no gun expert.

The camos are very good-looking on the M4. My personal favorite camo is Blue Tiger, with Digital being in 2nd. The sound of the gun firing is one of the factors that pushes me away from this gun. It just doesn't sound... right.

Anyway, the M4 is a mediocre gun. Anything it can do, the ACR can do better. Not worth it.

Rating:2/5

Gun Guide

So,

Instead of using Microsoft Word (because I don't have it) (because it costs $500), I will be making a small MW2 guide HERE! It's small, but it has a lot of useful info. I will be going one weapon at a time. This will take up most of the next few weeks' posts.

I will start with the assault rifles, just to keep things neat and tidy.

P.S. I probably won't go in order because of the whole PS3 situation I'm having.

RE5: DLC/ Round Two Review

Thanks to the helpfulness of a kind friend, I was able to play Desperate Escape. It comes with the Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, or sold as an add-on for $4.99 on PSN.

Well, the verdict is in: Desperate Escape will not disappoint. This add-on takes you through what Jill Valentine and Josh Stone were doing during Chapter 6 of the campaign. It shows how they both fought their way to Chris and Sheva at the end of the game.

Unlike the other add-on, Lost in Nightmares, this adventure is very action and combat heavy, which is not a bad thing at all. The consant fighting and thinking will keep you on the edge of your couch. Some fights are amazing, and all are fun.

Although the voice acting isn't great, it's better than LiN. Jill, Josh, and Doug all seem like they are real people, not video game characters. The graphics also add to the experience, and the epic RE5 soundtrack is still as good as ever.

Capcom did it; they created a fun adventure that doesn't get boring after five minutes. If it's you first run-through, play on at least Veteran difficulty, because the actual adventure is rather easy. Then again, this is coming from a seasoned Resident Evil veteran.

Bottom line: this is a great add on. The action, fighting, music, and experience is great. I highly recommend it. $4.99 is pretty much a deal for an adventure this good. Props, Capcom.

New Youtube Series

So,

In my last entry, I described a series I would make on Youtube. It will focus mainly on a small office. The people will argue and bicker constantly.

The main character is Joe, a guy with a good heart, and is liked by everyone in the office except for Jeffery, who hates him for unknown reasons. There is also Bill, who is annoying as hell, and his adversary Bob, who tries to stop him almost all the time. Bill is a good person though.

There will be other characters, but I don't have them yet. This is just a rough outline. I do know that there will be a boss and secretary, and a few other side characters.

The series will actually be divided into three seperate subseries; one will be a sketch-like series, another will have a storyline, and the third will focus on other characters besides Joe, mainly Bill.

Also, instead of drawing, I will do something else. I don't really have an idea yet, but I would like some feedback. This is purely an idea, and I need to know if that's something you guys want. Just send me an e-mail stating your opinion. Thanks a lot and stay tuned.

MW2 DLC News and Other Updates

So,

I just got news from a website that I usually visit that there will be five new maps for Modern Warfare 2 in the new DLC. Two of them are from COD4, which are Crash and Overgrown (snipers, rejoice!). The other three are named Storm, Complex, and Compact.

Another new addition is a new game type: Global Thermonuclear War. The objective is to capture a nuke, which will explode when captured. It sounds pretty crappy in my opinion, but I shouldn't be the one talking after my MW2 epic fail.

Unfortunately, Xbox always gets the good stuff first. The DLC will be released a whole MONTH early for Xbox users, which sucks pretty damn hard. Who was the smart little shit that came up with that idea? One of the guys that just got fired from Activision, I hope.

By the way, Alice in Wonderland is a pretty good movie. The last third is battle-heavy and kinda sucks, but the rest of the movie is OK, except for Johnny Depp. It looked like he didn't even want to be there.

I can't wait for Clash of the Titans or the new Tron movie. I'm the kind of guy who likes action movies that make sense, unlike Transformers. Michael Bay is pretty much a guy who thought, "You know what? I think I can make a retarded movie good by adding lots of really big fireball explosions!" He's really an asshole, is what he is.

Anyway, I'm thinking about making a series on Youtube. It will be about an office, and the people (probably drawn) that work there. I will give the full scoop in my next entry, so stay tuned.

Chill

P.S. For those of you who didn't get the MW2 epic fail thing earlier, I made a MW2 weapons guide which was absolute shit. I took it off of GameFAQs, but NeoSeeker has it on their site. I should warn you: it sucks really badly. There was an eight-page message board about how bad it was on GameFAQs, so only look if you want to see how bad I was back then.

P.P.S. I might be making another guide for MW2, another weapons guide. This one
probably won't suck as hard as my previous failure. No promises though. It's kinda hard to make a comeback after that.

RE5: DLC/ Round One Review

Even though the game was mediocre at best, I still kept Resident Evil 5, hoping that it would somehow redeem itself. Capcom has made an attempt, with the new downloadable content, Lost in Nightmares.

To be honest, I love Capcom. Resident Evil 4 was THE best game on the PS2, and I thought RE5 would top it. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good. The co-op was terrible, the AI was ungodly, and merchant went away, replaced by a stupid menu.

Lost in Nightmares tried to get RE5 back on track, and it failed. Lost in Nightmares takes place in the Spencer Estate, during the flashback Chris had of when Jill "died". To put it simply, you run around the whole place solving tedious puzzles and killing Executioner-like things. What the developers did, in my opinion, is took the mansion from RE1 and made it modern. It was the laziest thing I've seen in a while.

The shitty AI is back, because Jill can't assist you whatsoever. She constantly gets in your way and wastes ammo, just like the devil herself, Sheva Alomar.

The only enemies are these things called the Guardians of Insanity. They are pretty much Executioners with less health. They are easy to take down and make the game less scary to be honest. One of the diaries in the DLC is an exact replica of the entry from RE1, so I thought there would be zombies, but no.

The only reason I didn't stop playing RE5 was the good thing about the DLC: Mercenaries Reunion. That is very enjoyable, especially with Barry Burton. Excella is one of the few Mercenaries characters that I don't like. Both Sheva and Chris are great, especially with the shiny new Gatling Gun.

The DLC is a bittersweet thing. $4.99 pays for Mercenaries, but Lost in Nightmares just isn't good. Once I get my PS3, I will probably review Desperate Escape. I really hope it's good, cause Lost in Nightmares just didn't cut it for me.

BC2 and MW2

So,

From what I've heard, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has a better multiplayer than MW2. From all of the opinions and facts, I think they're correct.

I will be getting Bad Company 2 soon, but not until I get a new PS3. My old one fried out, so I'm saving up for a new one. It will take me a few weeks, so I won't be on PSN until then.

Believe me, PS3 is great, but I would also like an Xbox 360. The Wii isn't exactly great, but Mad World is pretty sweet. No More Heroes and Darkside Chronicles aren't bad either. Anything with Leon Kennedy in it is good.

Other than that, I can't wait for God of War 3 and the new Medal of Honor. 2010 is the year of gaming, apparently, and I can't wait to celebrate.

To wrap it up, not much new. New York hasn't gotten as much snow as D.C. which blows my fucking mind. My city is huge on snow, so it's pretty weird if Texas gets more snow than me.

My site has been simplified into a regular blog. Easy transition, cause my links are right on the side. This is where I will be making all of my new posts. So... good.
